Department of Computer Engineering
Gaziantep University’s Department of Computer Engineering has a strong academic structure aimed at educating engineers who closely follow rapid developments in information and communication technologies, can blend theoretical knowledge with practical application, and think creatively and analytically. Our department is a pioneering engineering unit that contributes to regional and national development through scientific research, industry collaborations, and a student-centered educational approach.
The undergraduate program in Computer Engineering equips students with fundamental and advanced knowledge and skills in areas such as algorithms, programming, software engineering, computer hardware, database systems, network technologies, artificial intelligence, and information security. The language of instruction is English, and one of our priorities is to ensure students gain proficiency in technical English.
The education provided in our department is supported by hands-on laboratory work, capstone projects, and mandatory internships, ensuring that students graduate as well-prepared and competent individuals ready for the professional world. Additionally, our students have the opportunity to study abroad through Erasmus+ and similar exchange programs.
Our current curriculum is designed in accordance with national and international engineering education standards. Our graduates build successful careers in both public and private sectors in fields such as software development, data science, cybersecurity, systems engineering, artificial intelligence, and many more.
